"a soulful voice
songs that connect
a musical journey
to remember "
Born in the heart of rural Victoria – Della Harris – is a singer, songwriter and storyteller.
Her stories come from real life – highlighting the joys to heartbreak – and it’s that alone that makes her songs so authentic and relatable.
Della has been performing and touring most of her life, but it was only in recent years that her passion and desire to tell her own stories lead her into her own original music career.
“It has been quite an emotional journey finding my own voice. I feel like I have something worthwhile to share, an interesting life story to tell and my music is the vehicle for that”, says Della.
Merelyn Carter from the award-winning, Carter & Carter, says, “We first met Della when she attended a songwriting retreat in 2017, and it immediately became obvious that there is a lot more depth to her than first meets the eye. She approaches everything she does with determination and professionalism and within these qualities lies a heart that desires to tell her story”.
While still a relatively new name on the scene, Della already has a number of smash hit singles to her credit including the number one hits, “Must’ve Been The Wine” and “She Said What?”
Her tracks have also been play-listed on the highly sought curated lists on Spotify (Fresh Country) and Apple Music (Aussie Country).
Della’s latest chart outing was with Sydney’s Andy Penkow on the stellar duet, “How Many Times”. It peaked at #2 across a number of charts across the country and took Della into the ears and hearts of a whole new audience.
The Melbourne artist not only juggles a burgeoning music career but a full-time job, family life (she’s married with three children) and when not hindered by Covid lockdowns and restrictions, a full schedule of live shows.
Over the years she’s shared the stage with country luminaries including Golden Guitar winners Kristy Cox, The Weeping Willows, Brad Butcher and Aleyce Simmonds along with mainstream acts such as Jon Stevens (Noiseworks) and Michael Spiby (The Badloves).
Della Harris is a name to remember … and there’s plenty more exciting times ahead for this incredible talent.
